About Me

Experience

I am a lifelong learner who has been independently teaching myself to program since I was 13. I have had over four years of industry experience in software programming, embedded systems, and firmware design.

Throughout my studies and in my own spare time, I have learned and worked with UI design, machine learning, computer vision, web design, and more. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oregon State University in March of 2020 with a Electrical & Computer Engineering degree and a Spanish minor. Since then, I have worked as a software engineer for Siemens Digital Industries Software and as an engineering contractor. I found that I have a passion for artificial intelligence and I am currently studying for my master's degree at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland.

Background

Although I was born and raised in a small town in Eastern Oregon, I have a deep passion for global languages and cultures. I am married to a Colombian-American who helps keep me fluent in my Spanish, and I'm currently teaching myself how to speak Korean as well.

Being raised on a farm in a rural community has given me a strong work ethic, but I also enjoy pursuing hobbies in my free time. Currently I appreciate reading, graphite pencil art, programming, playing guitar and piano, and spending time with my family.
